Does "gloat" accompany "over" everytime?

If you wish to specify the thing that is being gloated over, "over" must always be included in the sentence. If you just mean the general verb, you do not need to include it. Ex: Stop gloating. Ex: She is gloating over her work success. Ex: He is gloating over his perfect math score.
