What does she mean by "end of the world"?

By "end of the world" she's referring to the first movie of "The Croods" where the earth is cracking open, and it seems like it's the "end of the world"- that earth would be destroyed and no longer exist. They managed to survive, so the world wasn't destroyed. But now she refers to that memory when she got the scar as the "end of the world". Ex: Is it really the end of the world if there's no cake at the bakery, Sue? Ex: Many people keep predicting the end of the world. They never turn out to be right. Ex: Perhaps the end of the world is sooner than we think.
