Is "What have I to fear" different from "What do I have to"?
Answer from a Native speaker
"What have I to fear" and "what do I have to fear" mean the same thing. In this series, Loki shown to speak British English, whereas Iron Man is American. "What have I to fear" would follow a more British way of speaking and is slightly more formal and traditional in feeling, whereas "what do I have to fear" is more casual. You can use both to mean the same thing. Ex: What have I to lose? Ex: What do I have to lose?
