Kiwi asks…
What is a plasma TV? I don't know much about technology, but is it some kind of advanced form of television?
Answer from a Native speaker

A "plasma TV" is a type of flat-screen TV. It's not too advanced. I think when flat screens became widely used, "plasma TVs" were popular. From what I know, "plasma" refers to the TV pixels charged by gas. Ex: We got our first plasma TV in 1998. Now we have a smart TV! Ex: One of the pixels on my plasma TV was faulty. There was a random blue square whenever we watched something.
