The phrase "uncanny resemblance" is actually frequently used when comparing things such as people, objects, writing and so on. The word "resemblance" means one thing is similar to something else or that they are alike in some way. The word "uncanny" actually means strange or mysterious. An "uncanny resemblance" means that the people or things are so similar that it strikes you as strange or even extraordinary. Ex: His resemblance to his boss is uncanny. Ex: He has an uncanny ability to guess the winner.
