What does "Values in action" mean? Why is it so important to have a value?

"Values in action" means how employees should act or behave to fully embody the values and ideas of the business. A "value" is a standard or principle that one considers important. It's important to have values so that you have a good foundation and expectations for how to do things. Ex: We value respect in this company and do our best to behave respectfully. Ex: One of our "values in action" is collaboration. So we often work on group projects.
