Does "Guinness Beer" and "Guinness World Record" is somewhat related? Why would they both use the name "Guinness"?

Yes! Guinness (the beer) is related to The Guinness Book of World Records. In the 1950s, one of the brewers at Guinness created the book to answer common questions throughout Ireland and Great Britain, the first question being, "What's the fastest game bird in Europe?"
