How can two verbs "got" and "put" come in a row?
There are actually many cases where you can put two verbs in a row. Usually when this happens the second verb is in its infinitive form. However not all verbs are followed by the infinitive, some verbs are followed by a gerund, or a base form (infinitive without to) such as here "got put". Here "got put" means to end up. Ex: I have to go get my sister from school. Ex. You can come see me anytime. Ex: Come play with your brother.
