What does "hold" mean here?
In this video, "hold" is being used as a command verb to prevent the others from going forward. It has a meaning similar to "restrain [yourself]," "wait," or "stop." You will see this word used a lot in situations of conflict, as it is a command commonly given to a group to prevent them from acting further. Ex: Hold it right there! Where do you think you're going? Ex: Hold! I think there's someone hiding here.
