Can you explain more about the expression “dance it up”?

The expression "let's dance it up" here is just another way to say "let's dance", however, the use of "up" indicates that it will happen right away and completely. It is common to see the word "up" after a verb and this may have different functions, but generally a verb + "up" is used to intensify the action or to show that it should be done completely. Ex: Your food is getting cold, you'd better eat it up. Ex: You just spilled water - clean it up before someone slips!
