student asking question

If I say "we would bike" instead of "we would make biking", is it wrong? How about saying "we would be able to bike"?

In this script, the speaker actually should have stated "Now imagine, that we could make biking safer, smarter and easier ... ". Because it refers to the action of changing something (making biking safer, smarter, and easier), we cannot get rid of the word "make". "We would be able to bike" is not grammatically incorrect, but is an awkward way of phrasing this sentence. The speaker is talking about how his technology can change the way people bike, so "make" is an integral part of the sentence and cannot be removed. Thus, "we could make biking" is still the best option.
