Sì, almeno questo è quello che penso. Perché, come il codardo (coward), cower si riferisce a uno stato in cui una persona è intimidita dalla paura. Esempio: She cowered in fear when the dog approached her. (Tremava di paura quando il cane si avvicinava.) Esempio: They cowered when the teacher started screaming at them. (L'insegnante urlò, ed essi tremarono di paura.)
