"Put something down" can actually have a few different meanings. In this video, it means to set something down onto the ground or on some kind of surface. Pikachu is telling Psyduck to put his foot down. Ex: Please put down your books. Ex: Will you put that down! Another definition of "put something down" is to be mean to someone else; to make another feel inferior or less than others. Ex: He was being put down by his father. Ex: Don't put other people down. "Put down" can also mean to write something onto paper. Ex: Please put down five things you are grateful for. Ex: She put down her name and number for the drawing. "Put down" also can mean a veterinarian putting an animal to sleep/ending its life due to the animal suffering. Ex: The dog had to be put down due to cancer. Ex: My cat had to be put down. She was suffering.
