Una este o conjuncție, una este un adverb, iar sensul este același! Înseamnă "~în timp ce" sau "în același timp (cu ceva)" și este folosit pentru a arăta un fel de contrast. Cu toate acestea, nu puteți folosi whilstca substantiv care denotă durata de timp în același mod în care ați folosi while. De asemenea, Whilstare un ton mai formal și este mai mult engleza britanică decât americană. Exemplu: I'll read a book while you play soccer. = I'll read a book whilst you play soccer. (voi citi în timp ce joci fotbal) Exemplu: While the walls were a nice blue, the door was a horrendous red. = Whilst the walls were a nice blue, the door was a horrendous red.
