Are just “human” and “human being” different?

The word "human" and the phrase "human being" technically have the same meaning, however, the word "human" can be used for living and non-living people. "Human being" is mostly used for living people since the word "being" means a "living thing". Additionally, the phrase "human being" is not used as commonly in spoken language as the word "human", and is usually only used when emphasizing humans as a species to reflect their unique characteristics.
