The phrase "screw it" is slang and is actually considered to be kind of rude by some people, so be careful when using it. It is used as a form of irritated dismissal, to indicate that one refuses to devote any further effort or thought toward something, and does not care about the consequences. Ex: Screw it, I'm not going to pass anyway, so there's no reason for me to finish the project. Ex: Screw it, I'm just going to go out there and do whatever comes to me.
