Ja. Go to/through the effort of ist ein Ausdruck, der bedeutet, dass jemand viel Mühe in etwas steckt. Es ist ein Ausdruck, der normalerweise verwendet wird, wenn man sich bemüht, etwas zu tun. Genau wie die Metapher für die Teezubereitung in diesem Video! Beispiel: My friends planned a surprise birthday party for me. I was grateful they went through all the effort to do that for me. (Meine Freunde haben eine Überraschungsparty für mich vorbereitet. It sucks when you go to all that effort to do something nice for someone, and they don't appreciate it.
