"Micro" means extremely small or tiny. Thus, if a word has the prefix "micro" in front, it means that the object is extremely tiny. Sometimes, you are able to add "micro-" in front of a noun if it is appropriate in that context, but it cannot just randomly be added to any noun. Ex: My professor pioneered microcomputer technology. Ex: Microplastics are a huge environmental threat. Ex: In microstudios such as the one I live in, there is only space for a bed and no other furniture.
