Great question! The "graveyard shift" refers to the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning. Typically, from midnight until 8 AM. Back in the day, around the 1800s, when medicine wasn't fully developed, people were sometimes buried while in a coma, and sometimes they'd wake up in the graves and ring bells. So there was a person there to listen to see if anyone rang the bells throughout the night. Here, Taylor is saying that her depression is most prominent during the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning. Ex: I have to work the graveyard shift for my new job. Ex: Why are you always awake during the graveyard shift?
