"Privacy researcher" is not a term I've heard used too often, but in the captions for the video, he is named a "security researcher" which is defined as someone who identifies malicious (dangerous) cyber (internet) activity and threats as part of their job. Ex: As a privacy researcher, I investigate cybercrime. Ex: In my job as a privacy researcher, I am currently writing a report on mobile malware to document some of the trends.
