A "clinic" is usually a smaller medical facility for routine care when you are sick, and typically you don't stay overnight. Whereas a "hospital" is much larger, can treat a range of sicknesses, and you can stay there overnight. Ex: I went to the clinic for a quick check-up. Ex: I keep getting lost in the hospital since it's so big.
