"Grown-up" is another way to say "adult". However, it is generally less formal than "adult" and commonly used by children. In this case, "grown-up" is used as a noun, but in other contexts, it can be used as an adjective to describe someone who is fully-grown or has reached adulthood. Ex: I don't want to be a grown-up; I like being a kid. Ex: You're all grown-up now!
