What's the main difference between "far [right/left]" and ordinary "right/left?"

You can think of "far left/right" as those being most extreme in their views. The far right refers to individuals or parties whose politics are further on the right of the left–right political spectrum. They generally hold authoritarian and ultra-nationalist views. On the other hand, the far left are most radical in their liberal views and reject things like capitalism and mainstream democracy in favor of socialist society based on economic democracy and direct democracy. Ex: Far right politics is growing increasingly popular around the world. Ex: Countries like Denmark, Sweden, and Norway are often seen as leaning quite far-left in terms of mainstream politics.
