What does "in a crisis" mean?

teacher

Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

"In a crisis" means to be experiencing extreme difficulty or danger. The way Taylor uses this, however, doesn't mean she is in danger. She uses it to describe who she goes to when she is having a bad day or when she doesn't know what to do. Ex: I'm in a crisis! I can't go on a date with a huge zit on my forehead! Ex: The country was in a crisis after the devastating earthquake.
