"Strong" is an adjective describing the physical strength of a body, but "powerful" is slightly different. It can describe mental strength in addition to physical strength. In general, powerful can be used to describe power coming from a variety of sources: the body, mind, political power, financial power, and so on. "Strong" and "powerful" are two adjectives that appear frequently together. Ex: Jeff Besos is one of the most powerful men in the world. Ex: She trained in martial arts for over ten years, so she is physically strong.
