Native speakers use "time is on [someone]'s side" to mean that time is to one's advantage, that there is a high chance of success at something because there is enough time to accomplish or complete it. Ex: I have more than a month until my final exam. Time is on my side. Ex: Time isn't on our side. We have to hurry up with our plans.
