Can I say "crash" instead of "break" in this context?

"Crash" and "break" are slightly different in this context! In this context, it is an intentional act. The subject is "breaking" or "smashing" the object so that it cracks into two or more pieces. Whereas, if a window were to "crash" it would mean that it fell and broke. Or, if someone "crashed" into a window, it means that they violently collided with the window. Ex: I broke the window, and it crashed onto the floor. Ex: I lost control of my car and crashed into the shop window. Ex: The vase broke when it hit the floor. => It split into pieces when it hit the floor. Ex: The vase crashed onto the floor. => It violently fell and broke. Ex: The branch is going to break.
