The main difference between "feeling unwell" and "not feeling good" is that "unwell", means feeling sick or ill. Whereas "not feeling good" can refer to one's emotional state as well as feeling sick - one's physical state. When referring to sickness, "feeling unwell" is more formal than "not feeling good." Ex: I don't feel so good. I have a headache. => informal Ex: I feel unwell, so I'm going home early. => formal Ex: I don't feel good after watching that movie. It was disturbing. => negative emotion
