"Chew on that" is an informal expression that is used when you want to tell someone to think about something carefully/ponder something. It's basically used when you want someone to consider something, and is used only in informal situations. Ex: You said it was impossible to beat this game, but I did it in three days. Chew on that! Ex: Considering my university entrance exams were coming up, I had an important thing to chew on.
