A "stable" is a building in which animals, especially horses, are kept. It most commonly means a building that is divided into separate stalls for individual animals. It does not relate to the adjective "stable" which means that something is consistent and unlikely to change its state. Ex: We bring the horses out of the stable three times a day so they can walk around. Ex: I visit the horse stable on weekends so I can see my horse and ride him.
