Whenever you deny a statement, what's the main difference between "true" and "real?"

"Real" refers primarily to objects and physical reality and whether or not they are as described. "True" refers to statements or information and whether or not the information is accurate. Ex: Even though many people believe in him, Santa Claus isn't real. The above sentence explains that the fictional character of Santa Claus doesn't actually exist as described in the story (that he visits every child on earth and gives the good ones presents). Ex: My sister told me that she saw Santa Claus in the sky last night. I don't think it's true. The above sentence explains that the speaker does not think their sister's story about seeing Santa Claus in the sky is accurate.
