If I switch the words "I" and "now", would it sound awkward?

Switching the words "I" and "now" to "Now I understand" does not sound awkward! It actually sounds clearer. Although, either "now I" or "I now" is fine. Ex: Now I see why Ryan goes to bed early. He has to wake up early! => I now see why Ryan goes to bed early. He has to wake up early!
