As a verb, "mime" means to convey an impression or idea with actions and gestures instead of words. Here, it actually means to "mimic" with actions; to copy someone else's gestures and behavior. A similar word for this is "mirroring." You copy someone's body language or the way they speak. This "miming" or "mirroring" is very subtle, though. Usually, the other person isn't fully aware that they're being copied, maybe only subconsciously. Ex: When my two-year-old throws a tantrum, I like to mime her behavior to see how she responds. Ex: I could tell he was mirroring my hand movements sometimes. = I could tell he was miming my hand movements sometimes.
