To "make it" means to accomplish something, to be successful at doing something. "You won't be able to make it" here is referring to the dinner, as she is saying that he won't be able to accomplish the task of making so much food in time (before everyone arrives). A similar expression is "make it on time," which means to not be late for something. Ex: Oh no, work starts in ten minutes and I haven't even left the house yet! I won't make it. Ex: I won't make it. I'm ten points short of passing the exam.
