Is there a difference between "believe" and "believe in"? Like between "I believe you" and "I believe in you"

Yes, there is a difference! To say "I believe you" means you believe what someone's saying is true. "I believe in you" means to trust the capabilities or goodness of someone. To "believe in" something also means to believe in or have faith in the existence of something. Ex: I believe in ghosts. => believe the existence of something Ex: I believe in the company's values. => to have faith in Ex: You're gonna do great in your exam.
