I only know of "scar" as a noun, but what's it mean as a verb?

"Scar" as a verb can either mean to be physically marked by a scar from wounds that have healed, or to be metaphorically marked with a scar from negative experiences and trauma. To use it metaphorically usually has a dramatic tone to it and can be used easily for humor. Ex: She will be scarred where the doctors cut her open, and will probably take a while to heal properly. Ex: I was scarred by camping in the woods for a week. It was a terrible experience for me!
