If I take a short sleep during nighttime, could I still call it a "nap"? Or is there another expression?

If you are referring to a brief period of sleep, you can call it a nap - whether it's in the daytime or evening! If you had a rather short sleep during the night, however, you should still call it "sleep" instead of a "nap," as naps are generally taken during the daytime. Ex: If I feel tired during the day, I take a short nap to recharge. Ex: I don't have a habit of taking naps.
