What's the main difference between a "feature" and a "function?"

Good question! The two words are related. A "function" describes a goal that can be accomplished by the subject. A "feature" is an aspect or part of the subject that helps to accomplish "functions". Ex: My phone has a flashlight function by using the flash feature of its camera. Ex: Modern cars have lots of features, but very few of them make it better at the function of driving somewhere.
