"Come together" means for separate things, such as people and organizations, to unite. Usually implying that they'll work on something together or stand for something together. You can use it when you want to say how individuals joined together for a common cause or two entities worked together. Ex: The whole school came together to support the charity event. => everyone from the school united in support Ex: The community's basketball and soccer teams came together to host a sports day for the children.
