However, compared to other emphasis expressions, "totally" is a little more informal! Yet it carries a similar meaning to "completely" as an emphasis. Ex: She's totally cool = She's really cool Ex: The party totally surprised me. = The party really surprised me. Ex: She was totally cleared at the hospital. There's nothing wrong with her.
