It kind of looks like being unable to respond properly to things, being mesmerized and distracted by something, or shocked. Ex: She walked around the mall in a daze since it was so loud. Ex: Sorry, I was in a daze. What did you ask me? Ex: When I told him the news, he went into a daze.
