What's "entitled" mean and when's it used?

If one is "entitled," it means they think they have the right to do or have what they want without working for or earning it. They expect special treatment and privileges, maybe just because of who they are. Although, it can also be used if someone does deserve something because they earned it. Ex: She's entitled to ending the contract if it's breached on our part. => "breached" means a rule or something broken Ex: He's an entitled jerk with no regard for people's feelings. Ex: You aren't entitled to anything until you earn it.
