What's "look for" mean and when's it used? Is it same as "seek for?"

To "look for" something means to try to find something or someone. I'd say it's similar to "seek for," which means to try to find something. Although, "seek for" has more of an intention and purpose and can't be used casually like "look for" can. To "seek for" something isn't super common to say. Ex: We looked for the best doctor in the area. = We sought out the best doctor in the area. Ex: Are you looking for your glasses? They're on your head. => casual
