If someone "honors a commitment," it means that they stick to it and do it well. They do and treat the task, job, cause, or activity with respect, even just by doing it. Ex: I hope she honors her commitment and goes to the interview. Ex: I honored my commitment and went to the final group meeting, even though I didn't want to. Ex: Thank you for honoring your commitment to this school. = Thank you for doing your job well and with respect.
