In this context, to "face" is to deal or confront with something. You would normally face the things that you will need to find a way out or find the answer (like challenges, truths, problems, difficulties...etc). Here are some examples of "face": Ex: Right now, I am facing the biggest challenge in my life. Ex: If you keep repeating the same mistake, you will eventually face a huge problem.
