I use words like home training, self-care, cardio exercise, etc..but I don’t know the exact expressions in English.
If you like to exercise during the weekend, make sure you learn the expressions so when someone asks you, 'What did you do this weekend?' you can answer in English!😎
🧘 Home Training🙅♀️, Home Workout 🙆♀️
I thought because I train at home, I could say home training.
But in English, the correct expression is actually ‘home workout’.
’Training’ usually refers to exercise to achieve a certain goal or to compete in a competition. We usually don't exercise at home to compete, so it’s better to use the word 'workout'.

🏋🏻♂️ 'Get a PT?'
PT is short for 'Personal Training' and is the method of 1:1 exercise with a personal trainer.
Using 'get a PT' always felt wrong. I learned that saying 'I work with a personal trainer three times a week.' is the better way to say it.
To lose weight, I work with my personal trainer at the gym.💦
😎 Self-Care?
People work out because of their diet, but also to take care of themselves and stay healthy.
If someone is really interested in self-care, you can use the expression 'take good care' to say, 'She takes really good care of herself.' On the other hand, if someone isn’t interested in self-care, you can say, 'She let herself go.'
I try to take good care of myself by working out.✨
