What's "strive" mean? And what's the situation for it to be properly used?

"Strive" means to put a lot of effort or energy into achieving or getting something. It's similar to "endeavor" or "aspire." So, if there's a goal or something to achieve, one or many people can "strive" to do that thing, or if one is trying to do their best despite difficulties and problems. Ex: We're striving to reach the end-of-year goal for fundraising. Ex: She strove for an A this semester and got it. Ex: I always strive to improve my skills.
