Kiwi asks…
What's the main difference between "scar" and "wound"?

You can think of these as the different stages of an injury. A wound is an injury on one's body, and the skin will usually be broken or cut for it to be considered a wound. Once the injury has healed, there will usually be a mark of some kind on the skin (usually new, shiny skin of a different color) and this is called a scar. Ex: I have a scar on my knee from when I fell off my bike as a child. Ex: I had a small accident at work yesterday, but thankfully the wound wasn't serious.
