Just want to check with you, here it should be "it also communicates" instead of "it's also communicated", no? Grammatically?

"It is communicated" is the passive voice, which shows that the subject of the sentence (the farm) is not active, but is, instead, being acted upon. "It communicates" would be the active voice (which would show that the subject performs the action). A farm cannot communicate with the cloud by itself, someone (an engineer, scientist, etc.) needs to do that. That's why we use the passive voice: Ex: An engineer connects the farm to the cloud (active voice). Ex: The farm is connected to the cloud (passive voice). Ex: She drives her car (active voice). Ex: Her car is driven remotely. It's a Tesla (passive voice).
