student asking question

He said "though" later in the sentence, but I thought it's like "even though" which comes at the beginning of a sentence. Is it correct to say like that?

It does still mean "even though!" And yes, you can use "though" later in the sentence as an additional thought or information! It can be placed in the beginning, middle, or end of a sentence to highlight a contrasting thought or idea to something previously mentioned. Ex: I like the cold. Though, I do wish that it was summer now. Ex: I like the cold. I do wish, though, that it was summer now. Ex: I like the cold. I do wish that it was summer now, though.
